Tiles

Tiles are the building blocks of the canvas. Each tile is a resizable, draggable container with a macOS-style title bar.

Terminal

The primary tile type. Terminal tiles run a full PTY (pseudo-terminal) session with optional tmux integration.

• Default size: 440×540px
• Agent detection: MadoHub monitors output to identify Claude Code, Codex, Amp, OpenCode, or a generic shell, and tracks the agent's state (working, waiting, stopped, idle, exited, completed, failed).
• Context menu: Right-click for copy, paste, clear, and kill session.
• PID tracking: Each terminal's process ID is stored for JSONL session resolution during routing.
• Title bar affordances: a Worker badge (a codex chip on tiles created by a chat-dispatched worker), a Context Gauge (a per-tile context-window fill bar — green under 70%, amber at 70%, red at 90% — Claude-only, with a Dynamic Workflows subagent-token tooltip), and a Resume Session picker.

Creating terminals

• Double-click on canvas
• Cmd+Shift+P → New Terminal
• Terminal opens in your active workspace's directory

Code

Displays code files with syntax highlighting and line numbers. Read-only — useful for reviewing what agents are working on.

• Shows up to 500 lines
• Filename displayed in title bar
• Created by dragging a non-image file onto the canvas

Note

Freeform text editor for planning, documentation, or capturing ideas.

• Default size: 300×250px
• Auto-saves as you type
• Can receive routed content from agents (e.g., a summary of completed work)

Image

Displays image files within the tile. Supports PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, ICO, and TIFF.

Created by dragging an image file onto the canvas from the file tree or Finder.

File Tree

Hierarchical file browser for a project directory.

• Default size: 440×540px
• Click folders to expand/collapse
• Drag files from the tree onto the canvas to create code or image tiles
• Hides dotfiles and common build directories (node_modules, .git, dist, target, …) — a fixed list, not .gitignore parsing

Team Pane

Displays a remote Claude Code agent terminal from a tmux session. Used in team collaboration to monitor team members' work.

Message Feed (reserved)

This tile type is reserved but not currently usable — no code path creates one. Team messages are shown in the Team Hub panel (right-hand drawer) instead; see team collaboration.
