Frames

Frames are visual containers that group related tiles together. Typically, each frame represents a project directory.

Creating frames

Open a project directory via the command palette (Cmd+Shift+P → Open Project/Frame). MadoHub creates a frame on the canvas with the directory name as the label.

Visual design

Each frame has a color-coded border and label. MadoHub assigns from 8 predefined colors:

Frame navigation

• Use the minimap (bottom-right corner) to see all frames at a glance. Click a frame in the minimap to jump to it.
• Use the command palette (Cmd+Shift+P) to search for and navigate to specific frames.

File tree integration

Each frame can optionally show an embedded file tree listing the project's directory structure. Toggle it per frame; it's sized to a narrow strip (160–240px, about 12.5% of the frame's width) along the frame, not a persistent app-wide sidebar. Drag files from the tree onto the canvas to create code or image tiles.
