Accounts and Credits
Buy MadoHub once, receive Starter Credits, and understand MadoHub Pro, top-ups, and BYOK usage.
MadoHub uses a cloud account instead of a license key. After email verification, complete the $29 one-time purchase to unlock the desktop app permanently.
The confirmed purchase includes 1,000 non-expiring Starter Credits once. Credits pay for eligible MadoHub-hosted AI requests. After purchase, your permanent app license and local workspace features remain available even when the Credit balance reaches zero.
What you can do
- Create a cloud account with an email and password (8 characters minimum).
- Verify your email with the 6-digit code sent to your inbox.
- Buy MadoHub once for $29 and keep the desktop app permanently.
- Receive 1,000 non-expiring Starter Credits with that purchase.
- See your Credit balance and activity in Settings → Account & Credits, including monthly usage and the next expiration.
- Add web MadoHub Pro for $19/month with 2,500 Agent Credits and 100 Cloud runtime hours per paid billing period. Pro unlocks Mac only while active, does not become lifetime ownership, and grants no Lifetime Starter Credits. App Store pricing varies by storefront.
- Buy a one-time top-up of 1,000 non-expiring Credits for $10.
- Bring your own API key (BYOK) without consuming the Agent allowance. Remote Cloud runtime is still metered.
How signup works
- Enter your email and password in MadoHub or on the website.
- Enter the 6-digit email verification code.
- Continue to Stripe and confirm the $29 one-time purchase. Stripe shows the permanent license and included 1,000 Credits before payment.
- The paid webhook activates lifetime ownership and brings the account to the one-time 1,000-Credit Starter total.
- Open Settings → Account & Credits to see the balance, recent Credit entries, and optional purchase choices.
Lifetime, Pro, and top-ups can be selected on the website. Credits are usage only and do not unlock Mac. The free iOS app can use hosted AI and Cloud against available Credits. Each offer shows its price, included capacity, renewal, and reset or expiration rules before checkout opens.
Resending a code has a 45-second client cooldown and a server limit of 5 sends per hour per email. A mistyped code does not repeatedly auto-submit by itself.
How Credit usage works
MadoHub Pro has two separate meters: Agent Credits pay for hosted MadoAgent planning, coding, review, and other model requests; Cloud hours pay for remote container runtime. Both included allowances are used before wallet Credits.
When either allowance runs out, additional usage is deducted from the unified Credits wallet. A Credit is a billing unit, not one request, so larger requests and more expensive models use more Credits. Local tools use no Credits. BYOK uses no Agent allowance, but remote Cloud runtime remains metered.
When the relevant allowance and overage balance are both empty, the app shows a clear action to subscribe, top up, or switch model requests to BYOK. A purchased app license and local features are not locked.

MadoHub Pro renews monthly until canceled. Canceling stops future renewals without shortening the current paid period; Mac access ends with the paid Pro period unless the account separately owns Lifetime. Unused Agent or Cloud allowance does not enter the Credits wallet. Use the Stripe Customer Portal from Settings → Account & Credits to manage web billing.
Existing lifetime customers
Previously purchased lifetime entitlements continue to be recognized. Accounts that already received the former 500-Credit Starter grant receive only the missing 500 Credits, bringing every lifetime account to the same 1,000-Credit Starter total without duplicate grants.

Limitations
- Hosted AI requires an online connection and either an available allowance or positive Credit balance. BYOK can cover model requests, but not remote Cloud runtime.
- MadoHub Pro allowances reset at the paid-period boundary; Starter and top-up Credits remain non-expiring wallet lots.
- The desktop caches a signed account entitlement for a bounded offline grace period; indefinite offline verification is not supported.
