Installation

Download MadoHub from the download page. Available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

First steps

1. Add a workspace

When you first launch MadoHub, the canvas is empty. Start by adding a project workspace:

1. Open the command palette with Cmd+Shift+P (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows/Linux).
2. Select Open Project/Frame.
3. Choose a project directory.

This creates a workspace frame on the canvas and sets the default working directory for new terminals.

2. Create a terminal

• Double-click on the canvas to create a terminal tile at that position.
• Or press Cmd+Shift+P and select New Terminal.

The terminal opens in your workspace directory with a full PTY session.

3. Start an agent

Type any agent command in the terminal:

claude          # Start Claude Code
codex           # Start OpenAI Codex

MadoHub automatically detects which agent is running and begins tracking its state. You'll see a colored indicator on the tile's title bar:

• Green pulse — Agent is working
• Orange — Agent is waiting for input (e.g., permission dialog)
• Red — Agent has stopped

4. Add a second agent

Create another terminal tile and start a different agent. Now you can see both agents working simultaneously on the canvas.

5. Connect them

To route output from one agent to another:

1. Hover over a tile's edge — a connection handle appears.
2. Drag from the handle to the target tile.
3. Configure the connection in the sliding panel that opens.

When the source agent finishes, MadoHub reads the output, transforms it into an actionable prompt, and sends it to the target agent.
